Photo Submission Guidelines
We want your banners to look fantastic, so please make sure all photos you submit are high-resolution. If you’re using a phone camera, it should be a high-quality one, and make sure to save your images at the highest resolution available. To check, take a peek at your file size—if it’s smaller than a megabyte or two, it might not meet our requirements (anything smaller than a megabyte will be displayed in kilobytes). Keep in mind that photos downloaded from platforms like Google or Facebook, screenshots, and many phone camera shots may not have the necessary size or clarity.
Print Quality Disclaimer The quality of the photo images on your banners depends on the original digital files you provide. While we always strive to produce the best print quality possible from the materials you provide, we can’t take responsibility if the quality turns out to be less than perfect, blurry, or pixelated due to a lower-quality source file.
Photo Submission Tips
1. Portrait Orientation For the best results, make sure your portraits show the student from the waist up. Our banner layout is designed for a vertical format.
2. Avoid Extreme Close-Ups Please refrain from uploading headshots or super-close photos of the student’s face. A little distance helps us create the ideal banner.
3. Leave Some Breathing Room Leave plenty of space around your subject and avoid cropping your image. This way, we can ensure the best composition for your banner.
4. Keep It Simple and Focused Exclude other people from the picture, and ensure the background isn’t too distracting. Your submitted photo should only feature the student; no one else should be in the frame.
